BabyPlus: Day 27 / Hit by a Ball

Early this morning, Michelle was hit a ball at her back. Sophia was playing with a ball while we are having our breakfast. Suddenly she throw the ball at Michelle. After the throw, Michelle felt pain at her right tummy. I was so worried because something might happen to our baby. It's a good thing that Michelle was able to feel a movement just before lunch while she plays the babyplus.


During the night session of the babyplus, I was able to feel the strong kick of my baby again. The babyplus moved as he kick it.



Just before we went to sleep tonight, we talked about saving up and expenses. This was a very

BabyPlus: Day 26 / Not feeling well

Michelle is not feeling so well today. We we are at church this morning, she felt dizzy and she feels like she wants to vomit. We are unsure on what the cause is, but it's maybe because she drank cold mineral water this morning. When we got home from church she vomited. But after this she felt much better.

Michelle had a mistake again in playing BabyPlus today. She played lesson 5 instead of lesson 4. She'll be more alert tomorrow as not to play the wrong lesson.

Later tonight Michelle felt bad again after we went home from dinner. We ate at Sizzling pepper steak at Trinoma. The food seems not digested well. She slept early while playing the babyplus.

BabyPlus: Day 25 / Lesson 4

Today is the first day of lesson 4. Baby continues to be very active. Michelle said that when it's almost time for babyplus, baby keeps on moving. It's like baby is looking for the sound. It's also good that Michelle did not feel dizzy today. (knock on the wood) hehe

BabyPlus: Day 24 / Our very active baby

Michelle forgot to play babyplus today at exactly 10 am. She noticed that our baby keeps on moving and is very active. When she looked at the time it's already 10:10am, that is the time she remembered to play babyplus. It seems that our baby is looking for it.
The whole day today, our baby seems to be awake. He keeps on moving, turning and kicking. It is also the first time that Michelle felt a different movement - it seems that our baby is having a hiccups. The rhythm is like a hiccup.
Today would be the last day for lesson 3. Lets see if our baby will respond differently tomorrow.

BabyPlus: Day 23 / Not feeling well

Michelle felt dizzy again today while she is working in the office. Today is the second day that she felt dizzy. I hope this won't be an everyday sickness. I just let her lie down the whole night and did not allow her to do he chores.

BabyPlus: Day 22

I was able to feel the movement of my baby again today. It's been a long time since I've touched felt my baby's movement. Because when Michelle is using babyplus, I cannot touch her tummy.

Tonight, Michelle felt dizzy after we had dinner. I guided to lie down on our bed. After few minutes of rest, she felt OK. I think I've read this somewhere that during this time of pregnancy, it is normal to feel for an expectant woman to feel dizzy. I do hope this will not happen often because I don't want her to have a hard time.

BabyPlus: Day 21

Nothing special to write about babyplus today. Baby's responses and movement are the same as yesterday. Though our battery is almost drained because the screen is already blinking. I just let Michelle use the batteries for my camera. We've been using energizer since day 1. It seems that an ordinary battery can be used for 20 days.

BabyPlus: Day 20

Baby is becoming more responsive when Michelle is using babyplus. His kicks are becoming stronger. The babyplus moved again tonight because of baby's strong kick. After using the babyplus tonight, baby still doesn't want to sleep. Michelle cannot sleep because baby is moving. Feeling the baby move makes her really happy.

BabyPlus: Day 19

Signal number 3 typhoon hits Metro Manila today, it is named "Frank" we had a nationwide blackout at around 4:45am. We woke up early because of the sound of strong wind and bashing sound of things outside our house. Since there is nothing to do at home without any electricity, we slept the whole morning. But of course we did not forget the babyplus at 10:00am. Baby did not move at all during today session. Maybe because he is have a very good sleep because of the cold weather. They said that at 24 weeks, baby can start hearing sounds outside the womb. i just hope that baby wont get scared when he here's the noises outside our house.

During the night session of babyplus, baby moved a lot and it is the first time that Michelle felt the baby turned or do some sort of a somersault. It was so strong the the babyplus moved from its position. The movement was very slow but strong.

BabyPlus: Day 18

Second day of lesson 3. Baby's schedule is still the same. It really seems that baby has a regular wake up and sleep schedule already. Baby is also very active and kicks a lot. Michelle can't sleep during lunch time because baby keeps on kicking while she tries to have a nap.

BabyPlus: Day 17

First day for babyplus lesson 3. Baby seems to know the schedule of babyplus. Normally baby is awake at around 7:30am then he will go back to sleep at around 11:30. That is right after playing babyplus. While at night, baby is awake at around 7:00 pm then he goes to sleep at around 10:00pm. That is also right after playing babyplus. Baby seems to respond well with babyplus.

BabyPlus: Day 16

Today is the last day of lesson 2 for babyplus. Michelle have been using babyplus for 2 weeks now. I'm wondering if this would really benefit our baby a lot. ( I hope so) Baby is very active now a days. Not sure if its because of babyplus. Well, as long as it has a good effect on baby, I'm happy. Baby seems to be more responsive at night compared to morning.

Heavy stomach

Michelle felt that her stomach is very heavy. The feeling is something like the baby is about to come out. This happens when she stands for a long time. When baby kicks, she also felt that there is something down there. It's seems that Michelle is starting to have a hard time with her pregnancy again maybe because of the sudden change in baby's weight and size? or could it be because her tummy is starting to grow? She wears maternity pants already, for her ordinary pants won't fit anymore. We'll be observing more as the days goes by. I hope Michelle won't have a hard time anymore. Because it's hard for me also if I saw her like that.

BabPlus: Day 15

Michelle was able to use babyplus on time today. No special activity done.
Baby just moved a little bit. But the few kicks were very strong. Michelle can hardly sleep tonight. I just lend her my pillow so that she can incline her feet.

BabyPlus: Day 14

No special happening for today. Michelle followed the correct schedule in using babyplus. Baby is becoming more active lately. Maybe because he is growing fast.

First glimpse of baby

We had our Congenital Anomaly Ultrasound last June 13, 2008. Michelle is exactly 5 months and 2 weeks pregnant. At the start of the ultrasound, my heart beats very fast because I don't know what to expect and most of the people told us that our baby will be a girl. While the doctor is doing the ultrasound, he put a "male" mark on the screen. During that time, i can't explain my feelings, tear dropped from my eyes. Yes! we are expecting a baby boy Ü Ü Ü Here's a video of our ultrasound, i edited the video by putting classical music on the background and some captions.

BabyPlus: Day 13

Baby seems to be more responsive now. Baby moved a lot from the morning session of babyplus today. While for the evening session, baby is also very active. If you'll look at the babyplus on Michelle's tummy, you can see that baby has a very strong kick. Because the babyplus device moves while it's playing. Our baby seems to be pushing of kicking it.

BabyPlus: Day 12

Just another ordinary day for babyplus today. Baby did not respond much with babyplus. We played it late again for the evening session because we came home late from dinner. I think we have to adjust our schedules so that we could play it on time everyday.

Fathers day celebration

We celebrated father's day with Michelle's Dad for lunch. We ate at Holy Cow in trinoma. The food was good! I love steaks. And it's been a long time since I ate steak. Their steak was really yummy. Michelle's sister treat us for this celebration, because according to her she wants to treat us ( three fathers ) haha. Food server is ok, but the serving time is very slow. The ambiance is nice. In general, the dinning experience was good. Surely, I will go back to Holy Cow someday.

At dinner time, we celebrated father's day with my dad. We ate at Latitude - dinner buffet at Traders hotel. They have a promo of 4 + 1 and senior citizen gets to use their senior citizen card for discount. My 2 pamangkin eats for free - not a bad deal huh! The food ok, no special menu but the food is good. They have Italian foods like pasta, pizza and an Italian chicken. Their friend rice is good. Salmon, steak, chicken, and they also have some Japanese foods. For dessert they have lots of fruits and cakes. The best part of dessert is the leche flan. I love leche flan! Ü

My First Father's Day

Today is my first father's day since I'm expecting a baby boy 3 months from now.

We went to UBC early morning to attend a Sunday mass. Rev. Leung Wai Man's message today is on how we should love our father. Father's role in our lives is very important, not just because he provides us our daily needs. We should know how to respect our father's and respect him. As we grow older, we should not forget his teachings about good manners. And example would be, greeting him in the morning, saying goodbye before we leave the house, greeting him when we got home, etc..

As I reflect on the things that my dad has given me for the past 27 years. All i can say is "Dad, you are the best!" For me my dad is the best in the world. He never fail to show us his love and he always sacrifice for us. When I was still small I always get mad at him because he was so strict. But now as I ready myself to have my own family, I realized and understand all reasons why my dad is like that. I never regret obeying him before. As a matter of fact, I would like my future son to be brought up just like how my father brought me up.

BabyPlus: Day 11

Today is a late day for babyplus.
Michelle was late in playing babyplus for both the morning and the evening session. For the morning session we are late because we had a check-up with our OB. We finished at around 10:30am already. But she got several responses for the baby while playing it.
For the evening session we are late again because we went to trinoma and have ice cream. We got home at around 11:00pm already. Michelle slept while she plays babyplus. I waited for an hour to finish babyplus and take it off from her tummy.

Monthly Check-up

Today we had our monthly check up with our Ob-gyne Dra. Letty Chua. Michelle gain 4 pounds this month which is good. According to Dra. Letty Chua. A pound a week is good. So far everything seems to be going smoothly. Michelle had several complains like the contraction she normally feels. (3x a day) Doctor said that it is OK, but if it became like 10x a day, she will give her medicine and she probably had a bed rest because she might have a premature labor.

It's a BOY

Yes we are expecting a baby boy. And we're both very happy. After 5 months of waiting we have an answer to our questions.

Yesterday we had our congenital anomaly ultrasound at San Juan Ob-gyne clinic. We arrived at 9:45am but the doctor is not yet in. We've waited til 10:30 before the doctor arrived.
At the start of the ultrasound, I'm very nervous while looking at the monitor. I can't explain the feeling. It started from the top view of baby's head. then to his heart, then his thighs. At this point I'm wondering why the doctor skipped the part for checking the gender. The next thing i saw on the screen was the word "mole" - my thought that time was ultrasound is great because i can see the mole of our baby. Then i heard from one of the person in the clinic saying that it was supposed to be "Male". I'm having a baby boy. That time i can't concentrate on what I'm viewing on the monitor. Then tear suddenly dropped from my eyes. I can't explain the happiness I'm feeling. All these time I wanted to have a baby boy, but I'm trying to sink-in to my mind that we are having a girl. So that if it's really a girl, I won't be disappointed.

At least now we are sure that it is a boy and everyone is happy. Can't wait for the day Michelle will deliver our baby.

One of the most important part of our check-up was knowing that our baby is normal and he don't have any complications. Right now he is 1 pound and 1oz. And his heartbeat is 138bps.

BabyPlus: Day 10

Baby seems to be active lately. He has strong strokes while Michelle uses baby plus.
We are late today for the morning session because we had an ultrasound this morning. Michelle used babyplus at around 10:45 am. Our baby moves a lot while she's using it.
For the evening session, Michelle used it while are at SM. We went to SM tonight because we are looking for a store on where we can have our VHS converted to PC format.

Baby's gender: Moment of truth

12 hours left and we will know baby's gender. Tomorrow we will have a congenital ultrasound. We will also know the gender of our baby. Both of us are excited. Michelle feels that our baby is a boy while I feel its a girl. But we hope that our first baby will be a boy. I hope I can sleep tonight with the excitement. hehe

BabyPlus: Day 9

Today is the first day we'll use lesson 2 of babyplus. This morning baby did not respond to babyplus. Hmmm... would it be because he is sleepy? last night baby keeps on moving til midnight.
This evening, baby did move a little while Michelle is using babyplus. Her tummy is hardening. We hope that tomorrow Michelle will feel a better movement.

BabyPlus: Day 8

Today is the last day in using lesson 1 of baby plus.
During the morning session baby moved a lot. And on the evening session, baby did not move much. But after using the babyplus tonight, baby keeps on moving and kicking. It's already late and he still don't want to sleep.

BabyPlus: Day 7

Morning Session: Michelle did not feel any movement from the baby while using babyplus. She was able to feel the movement of our baby today in the afternoon. Even if she is standing up, she can feel the movement unlike before.

Evening Session: Baby did not move much either. Maybe our baby is tired today because we both lack sleep last night.

BabyPlus: Day 6

Morning Session: We woke-up late today because it's a holiday. Michelle used babyplus while we are eating breakfast. She did not felt much movement from baby this morning.

Evening Session: Baby did not move much this evening either. But this afternoon at around 6:00pm baby was moving a lot! The movement was so strong and we both felt it. There are about around more than 20 kicks. The feeling was so good.

Free gift from Havin' A Baby

We receive a letter from Havin' A Baby last Wednesday. There's a free drypers diaper and the first 50 who will claim the drypers diaper will get an additional baby audio Cd. We went to glorietta today to claim the free gift. We're lucky to be one of the first 50 claimers.

Its really nice to be expecting - there are lots of perks for us. hehe

BabyPlus: Day 5

Morning session: Michelle seemed to play the incorrect lesson today. She noticed it when she was about to turn it off because its already more than 1 hours. She was playing lesson 2 instead of 1. But the baby responded well this morning.

Evening session: Our baby moved a lot tonight. Its been a long time since i felt my baby's movement in Michelle's womb. While playing baby plus today, i tried to place my palm on top of Michelle's tummy and I was able to fell the strong movement of my baby. - several times ;)

BabyPlus: Day 4

Morning session: Baby did not move much.

Evening session: After we went home from Walter Mart, Michelle immediately used babyplus. We are a bit late in using it. But baby still moved a lot tonight.

BabyPlus: Day 3

Morning session: Michelle started late today. She was supposed to start at 10:00am but her boss is still talking to her at that time. While talking to her boss, the baby keeps on moving and kicking. She start playing the BabyPlus at 10:30. Baby seems to be very active this morning. Would it be because Michelle started late and the baby is looking for the sound? We wouldn't know...

Evening session: Baby did not move a lot with today's evening session.. Would it be because he is sleeping? hehe

BabyPlus: Day 2

Morning Session: Michelle started at 9:00am again today. The baby did respond to sound from BabyPlus but he did not move much.

Evening Session: Michelle used it in the car while on our way home from duty free. Our baby did not respond much again, Michelle felt 2 kicks only, maybe because the music in the car is very noisy. When we got home at around 11:00pm, Michelle used baby plus again while she goes to sleep. I waited for it to finish so that i can remove the BabyPlus.

We do hope that baby will respond in his Day 3.

BabyPlus: Day 1

Today is Michelle's Baby Plus day 1.
Using BabyPlus for the first time excites both of us. Michelle used it for the first time at 10:00am today. She felt so happy because the baby keeps on moving while she is using it. The baby seems to respond well with BabyPlus. I do hope this will really help baby with his prenatal education.
Tonight at around 9:20pm we used BabyPlus again. The baby responded well again. he keeps on moving/kicking.
The first day seems to be a good start.

Got our BabyPlus

After months of waiting our BabyPlus finally arrived. From the time we learned that Michelle is pregnant we immediately ordered this BabyPlus. It is an educational system for babies even if he is inside the mothers womb. Maxibear is the distributor here in the Philippines but according to them the product is order basis and it cost Php 14,000. We got it online for only $156. We have it sent to my Auntie in Canada. My mom got it from my Auntie when she visited her.

Tommorrow Michelle will start using BabyPlus. Since it should be used 2 hours - twice a day. We planned to use it at 10am in the morning and 9pm in the evening. Hopefully this product will give our baby good result.

He is listening

After 2 days of no movement, finally i felt my baby's movement again this evening. I tried talking to him and he moved a lot! I was so happy to feel my baby again.

Baby is not moving

It seems that our baby is not moving for 2 days already. Since last Saturday our baby is not moving. We're kinda worried why is he not moving. Would it be because we are so busy this past weekend and Michelle is very tired? We'll observe again tonight if baby will be moving. Hopefully he will.
