Havin' A Baby

It Edsa day today Feb. 25, 2008, No work! yehey!

Its our first shopping for Michelle's pregnancy cloths. We went to Havin' A Baby and bought 2 pants. Havin' A Baby have lots of nice cloths and pants with a reasonable price. Since it's our first time to purchase from their store, they let us fill up an application for a life time membership. The lady found out that it is our first baby, she gave us a gift pack for the baby. :)

We also got a 50 pesos gift coupon which we were able to use immediately. For sure we will be purchasing all our other maternity and baby cloths here. :)

How's the baby?

We had our second check up today with our OB Letty Chua. She looked at the result of the Ultrasound we had last week. We are so happy to know that Michelle's pregnancy is ok. Our OB was alarmed when she learned last week that Michelle's tummy was aching sometimes that is why she let us have an ultrasound test. According to Dra. Letty Chua, it's good that the baby is inside the uterus. We should have another ultrasound test next week to see if the baby has a heartbeat.

Our next schedule will be on March 29, 2008 - Dra. Letty Chua said that on that day we can hear the heartbeat of the baby. :)

Morning Sickness

Michelle is having a hard time with morning sickness. I don't know what to do. Her morning sickness last for the whole day. She is really having a hard time. According to Michelle she saw in TV sometime ago that a candy called "Preggie Pop" can prevent morning sickness. I want to glorietta to look for this Preggie Pop but can't find any. Browsing through the Internet i found several recommendation to avoid morning sickness. I found out that taking small meals often will lessen morning sickness. Also, eating something before getting out of the bed will help a lot. I tried it out last night, I woke up at 2am and give her crackers to eat. When she woke up in the morning, I let her drink Anmum milk before she get out of the bed. I'm very glad that it works, somehow she feel better with her morning sickness.

First check up with the OB

Today is our first check up with our OB. We went to Cardinal Santos hospital to look for Dra. Letty Chua. She is at Room 260 second floor. We're both excited to consult an OB to check if Michelle is really pregnant. We showed the result to Dra. Letty Chua and according to her, the pregnancy test kit is 80% accurate. She also asked several questions to Michelle about her condition. Since Michelle had 2 days tummy aching, she gave her medicine "pampakapit" to be taken for 1 week. Dra. Letty Chua also told us to have a blood test and Ultrasound.

We went to excel lab to have a blood test. Michelle was so afraid to take the test because she's afraid of the needle. I accompanied her as the nurse took her blood. She was crying all the time. hehe

After the blood test we went to New World Laboratories to have an Ultrasound. It's my first time to see and ultrasound and i was amaze on what I saw. According to the ultrasound OB, we can't see the fetus yet, but its a good thing that it is inside the uterus. and it's already 5 weeks and 1 day old. Michelle said that the TVS ultrasound hurts so much.

It was indeed a tyring day, but we're so happy to know that Michelle is 5 weeks pregnant.

My 27th Birthday Surprise

February 7, 2008 i woke up with a surprise from my wife. She gave me a 500gb hard drive as her birthday gift. I was so happy because my hard drive only have around 250mb left. hehehe (poor me). We go to work that day and treat my colleagues with pansit malabon from amber. Our office gave me a birthday cake from red ribbon, its their new cake which is "Dulce de Leche". That night i rode the mrt and walk to crowne plaza to meet my family. We ate at seven corners. It was my brother's threat this time since we have the same birthday.

When we got home that night i was so exausted and went to bed early. As I lay down on the bed with all lights closed. My wife came out of the washroom and suprise me with a small birthday cake. The cake has 1 candle and she sang happy birthday as she gave me the birthday cake.
